Corporate Social Responsibility

Corporate Social Responsibility is an important part of BDL ethos. We are dedicated to maintaining high quality standards when it comes to health and safety in the workplace, protecting the environment & being a responsible corporate citizen.

We recognise that as a company whose activities go beyond the UK our business activities may have an impact on the environment and with such impact must follow a responsibility to maintain high standards and a commitment to best practice underpinned by BDL being an ISO9001 registered business.

BDL also recognises that it has a wider corporate responsibility to uphold and promote activities that benefit all of society. BDL is fully committed to the goals of the Anti-Slavery legislation and Anti-Bribery & Corruption legislation. This includes our commitment  to pay the correct level of tax in order to allow for necessary public expenditure and our responsibility under the Tax Evasion Facilitation Prevention Act to conduct our business in accordance with this legislation.

BDL aims to meet its stakeholders’ present and future requirements through a cooperative network culture that provides the capability to provide services and knowledge allowing systematic change to take place whilst endorsing mutually desired social, economic, and environmental outcomes.

BDL is conscious of its responsibility to help reduce carbon emissions.

The shareholders and directors are also very aware of their ability and limitations to influence and reduce the environmental impact of a company’s activities. by improving the efficiency of processes, reducing the use of energy, water, and fossil fuel.

Sustainability forms part of the supplier review process.
